How we handle your data
Please read before continuing. This is required under GDPR.
What we collect
Your email address and a unique identifier from Google or Apple. No name, no phone number, no location.
Why we collect it
To authenticate you and keep your account secure. Your identity is never linked to anything you post — every post and reply is shown under a randomly generated anonymous persona.
Who sees it
No other Vent user ever sees your email. Your data is stored on Supabase (EU, Frankfurt — ISO 27001 certified). We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account. In-app deletion removes all your data immediately and permanently.

Access your data at any time via Settings
Delete your account and all data in-app
Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority
Legal basis
Processing is necessary to perform the service you have requested (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.

A few ground rules
You must accept these to use Vent.
Who can use Vent
You must be 16 or older (EU GDPR Art. 8). By accepting you confirm you meet this requirement.
Stay anonymous
Don't share your own real identity or anyone else's. Vent is a safe, anonymous space — keep it that way.
Be kind
No harassment, hate speech, threats, or content that targets individuals or groups. You're here to vent, not to harm.
No harmful content
Content that is illegal, promotes self-harm, or involves minors in any harmful way is strictly prohibited and will be reported to the relevant authorities.
Moderation
Posts are reviewed automatically. Content that violates these terms is blocked before it reaches the feed. Repeated violations may result in account removal.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. You will be asked to re-accept if they change significantly.
You need to accept the Terms of Use to continue. If you decline, you won't be able to use Vent.
